Eric Moeckel formed The Sextons with Adam Fekete, Adam Tucker, and Jake Nyberg, after performing for a couple of years as a solo artist in Minneapolis in the late 2000s. The idea was to be pretty loud; wall-of-sound type stuff. Layering dense guitar chords, fuzz bass lines, and mellotrons pumped through guitar amps, their songs are intense and complex, yet retain a catchy melodic character.
