The Undergroove was formed out of a meeting of like minds. A great bass player from the era funk, the 70’s, decided that it was overdue to resurrect the music that put this nation on the map as a dance capital of popular music. He placed ads for auditions on the world wide web and the Undergroove was born.
The nucleus and the concept of original funk, R&B and soul ensemble
never wavered from those cold Minneapolis days on 2009 to now.
We are a real jazzy funk & roll band and would love to bring that feel to your venue. We have performed and been requested for repeat performances at all of the venues we have ever performed. We are looking to build our rapidly expanding fan base.
The Undergroove is the totality of a full buffet of hot dance sounds and the creation of a smoldering sexy musical experience that is 2nd to none. The mesmerizing skill of each instrumentalist is undeniable and the vocals and harmonies are “too cool for school”!
