Born in Ames Iowa, Half Past Dawn has been built from the ground up by heavy beats, driving riffs, and lyrics from the heart. Each member brings a different element to the band, creating an original and unique sound. The signature sound arises from influences such as Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Ozbourne, and Shinedown. Climbing from the depths of mediocrity, the band has worked hard to transform themselves into a prevailing local act.
Early in 2012, Half Past Dawn completed the recordings for their demo disc. The disc inlcudes the band's first two original songs, "Freedom" and "Hungover You", two songs the fans can't get enough of. Nightly shows consist of parties and college bars where fans can congregate to get their fix for hard rock and roll.Armed with their music, Half Past Dawn will bring any venue to their knees and have a hell of a time doing it.
