J Shade born Jordan Shade aka the lieutenant of r and b, was born May 10, 1986. By the age of 3 he already had a passion for music. He always was an entertainer winning various local talent showcases, such as the MC Hammer Dance Competition in 1989. By the age of 9 He wanted to be a musician playing the drums for the local drill teams and for his church. He was raised in church where he began playing the piano and sung with the choir. While attending Hoover high school of Des Moines, IA he was in the various choirs at school. Right after high school J. Shade began pursuing his musical career when he moved to Minnesota and began attending the Minnesota school of Business under its Music business program. This is where he was learning the ins and outs of the music business in conjunction with I.P.R. which was a recording school in MN. J. Shade returned to Des Moines and started recording and performing. Shade released his debut album “Hot like Fire” in 2007, and the first single off of the album was selected by the local hip hop clothing store Hip Hop Heaven to be used in its commercial advertisement. In 2011 Shade got together with Iowa State University and wrote the theme music for their football team called “All In”. Shade has been doing mix tapes and performing all over the nation. In May of 2012 Shade performed in Sweden and also was asked to sing the U.S. National Anthem for one of the UN ambassadors in his home town of Des Moines, IA. Shade has his 2nd album to be released Aug. 2012 titled ‘Teddy Bear Lover. His soulful yet youthful sound that would put you in the mind of the late great entertainer Gerald Levert, J Shade is definitely what the game has been missing for a long time and Shade is ready to fill that void. He has performed alongside acts such as K-Ci and Jo Jo, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana, Paul Wall, Plies, Rick Ross and even the S.O.S. band.
