After over a decade as a 2-piece, countless national tours, and 7 independent releases, brothers Josh & Nicholas Sinclair; known previously as Little Mojo, decided to update their sound, image, and lineup in 2009. The New Year brought with it bassist Seth Hoveland, and a brand new name, HOLLYWOOD BURNOUT. Now a rock-solid 3-piece powerpop trio, the band is poised to reach even more fans with their exciting performances and super-strong songwriting honed during the past 5 years of working with top-notch producers and writers back in New York City.
The band was previously signed with PlayTyme Records in New York from 2005-2009 (owned by Richard Nash, former VP at Elektra Entertainment & current VP of urban promotion at Capitol Music Group) and also did showcases for Universal & Atlantic Records in 2007 and 2008. Josh & Nicholas worked with various producers including Kenny Gioia (credits include Mandy Moore, Lee Ann Womack, Ingrid Michaelson, etc), Jason Corsaro (credits include Soundgarden, Peter Gabriel, Madonna, etc), and a few other notable industry pros during their 5-year stint with PlayTyme. They have also shared the stage with major artists along the way such as The Rocket Summer, Forever The Sickest Kids, A Fine Frenzy, NEEDTOBREATHE, Carolina Liar, Great White, Bad Company, Blind Melon, The Bodeans, & many more. Their song "Circles" was recently featured on the new hit NBC television drama, MERCY, as well as their song "Angel" on MTV's show "16 and Pregnant" (episode 204), and they've been in regular rotation on the Weather Channel's morning show, "Wake Up With Al Roker." In addition to that, they also placed a song in FORD Motor Company's latest promotion for the new FORD synch radio that was launched in early 2010. Their most recent accolade was in September of 2010 when they won a Clear Channel Radio sponsored contest called, "Get Discovered" for a chance to perform live during the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon in Las Vegas. Approximately 925 unique artists and bands entered the contest with close to 1,500 songs submitted and Hollywood Burnout was 1 of only 4 bands to win.
Whether its the years of experience between them, or the promise of whats to come, HOLLYWOOD BURNOUT is just beginning to heat up. Their first record is available now at various record outlets and online at iTunes.
